Description
Our Disc Suspension Insulators are designed in strings, usually two or more, connected together to provide higher voltage protection than any single insulator. They are usually used in high-voltage transmission towers, supporting transmission lines on steel towers, isolating the lines from the towers, and playing a key role in the safe supply of electricity. And they generally use porcelain as the main material, as porcelain is by far the most commonly used insulating material, but there are also many glass styles.
Features
Our Disc Suspension Insulators provide insulation and support for line conductors in suspension and tension systems, and they often work together in strings that can be swung freely in any direction, providing great flexibility in transmission lines and protecting conductors from lightning strikes. In addition they are made of materials with good dielectric strength and insulation properties, so they can withstand high voltages and the physical and electrical properties of the insulator are not affected by changes in the environment, maintaining a stable working performance.
